Holding space for parents and children to connect through movement, laughter and play.

Flow & Grow Family Yoga offers workshops that are neither kids yoga with adults “tagging along” nor adult yoga with kids.
Rather, we weave together elements of play and storytelling, yoga asana (postures), mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, a dash of acro yoga and each participant’s own creative spirit.
No previous yoga experience is required!

Why family yoga?
Practicing yoga together strengthens the bond between parents and children. Secure relationships support children to lead a healthy and happy life. Asana (postures), mindfulness exercises and guided relaxations also strengthen body and mind.
In family yoga, parents and children meet at eye level. This empowers children as well as grown ups to trust in themselves and their abilities.
Family yoga is interactive and fun! Laughter promotes everyone’s emotional, cognitive, physical and mental health and well-being.
Family yoga keeps the physical connection going. Touch stimulates the release of Oxytocin (a.k.a. “the love hormone”), which has been linked to reduced levels of stress and less general anxiety.
Family yoga offers the opportunity to let go of our busy schedules and recharge our batteries. Parents and children are able to give each other their undivided attention and full presence. Parents in particular can rediscover their ability to simply be in the moment and connect with their (inner) child.
A GIFT FOR LIFE
Family yoga helps lay the foundation for a strong parent-child relationship – one that is based on deep connection, love, and respect for each other. As Brené Brown sums it up so eloquently: “Connection is why we’re here. We are hardwired to connect with others, it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering.”

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“My 8 year old daughter and I have absolutely loved each and every aspect of Antje’s parents and kids yoga sessions. Each class we’ve attended has had a different theme which has captured my daughter’s imagination and sense of fun but what I have loved most is the chance to share yoga with my child, connect without outside pressures and look into each other’s eyes as we play, move, dance and rest! Antje is a warm, grounded, calm and professional yogi with a true gift for teaching and holding space for families.”
– Emmy, mother of two
“I’ve done a few different family yoga classes and Antje’s recent class in Aldinga, SA, has been my favourite by far. She has such a lovely presence, and I love her emphasis on connection. … it really emphasised for me how much we don’t make time to just BE with our kids enough, especially 1:1. My 5yo LOVED it, and we both look forward to more classes!”
– Nicole, mother of three
“My 4.5 year old and I had a ball at Antje’s family yoga class. It was fun, creative, energising, and calming all at the same time. Most of all it was a wonderful opportunity for one-on-one connection, especially important now that my child has a younger sibling. Thank you for the beautiful class, we’re both looking forward to coming back soon!”
– Lara, mother of two
